Try These Kadha/Kashayam Recipes

Drink either of the kadhas instead of your normal cup of tea or coffee for an immune-boosting refresher!

  • Boil 1-2 teaspoons of crushed cinnamon, black pepper, ginger, raisins, and holy basil (tulsi) together to make a spiced brew. You could add a squeeze of lime juice at the end and sweeten with jaggery if needed.
  • A variant of this recipe uses cardamom and skips the raisins. Boil a spoonful each of the spices along with 5 to 6 tulsi leaves and 3 cups of water. Reduce it down to a cup of liquid and drink up.
  • While it isn’t present in these recipes, turmeric is well known for its health benefits. Have it alongside the other spices in a tea. You can also make a ginger-turmeric tea or drink a cup of traditional turmeric milk (haldi doodh).
